La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas finalmente reveló la lista de nominaciones a la 94ª entrega anual de los Premios Oscar, y, siguiendo los pasos de Black Panther… Spider-Man: No Way Home y Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings han conseguido ser nominadas en los Oscar 2022.
Junto a Dune, Free Guy y No Time To Die, No Way Home y La leyenda de los 10 anillos están nominadas en la categoría a Mejores efectos visuales, la única nominación importante para cada una. En 2019, Marvel hizo historia con Black Panther al ser la primera película de superhéroes en ser reconocida por la Academia en múltiples categorías, incluyendo Mejor película, Mejor banda sonora, Mejor canción original, Mejor diseño de vestuario, Mejor diseño de producción, Mejor edición de sonido y Mejor mezcla de sonido.
El siguiente año Marvel volvió a aparecer en la lista de nominados con Avengers: Endgame en la categoría a Mejores efectos visuales; sin embargo, no ganó. ¿Podrá Marvel llevarse a casa una estatuilla dorada en los Premios Oscar 2022? Además de NWH y Shang-Chi, Marvel también presentó en 2021 las películas de Black Widow y Eternals...
